Privacy Policy
Last updated August 2026. This policy describes how SafeRase handles information when you use our redaction service.
What SafeRase does
- SafeRase is a document redaction service. You upload files so we can detect sensitive information and produce redacted outputs. Processing is the core purpose of the product — we do not use your documents for unrelated purposes such as advertising or model training.
What we collect
- Account information you provide at signup (email, name, organization details when applicable).
- Files you upload for redaction and the redacted outputs we generate for you.
- Job metadata stored in our Supabase database: job identifiers, status, timestamps, file sizes, and billing-related usage counters — not the document contents themselves after processing completes.
- Technical logs needed to operate the service (errors, request timing). We aim to keep logs free of document content.
Retention
- Processed files are not kept as a long-term product archive. Uploaded and redacted files are stored only for the duration needed to complete your job and let you download the result.
- Our target is to remove working copies of file content promptly after the job finishes. Job metadata in Supabase may persist longer for account history, billing reconciliation, and support — but it does not include the full text of your documents.
Third-party services
- We use Supabase for authentication and application data, cloud object storage for temporary file handling during jobs, and Razorpay for payments. Each provider processes data according to their own policies and our agreements with them.
Security
- We encrypt data in transit (HTTPS) and apply access controls on infrastructure. We do not claim SOC 2, HIPAA, or ISO 27001 certification. If you need a specific compliance posture, contact us before relying on SafeRase for regulated workloads.
Your choices
- You can request account deletion or ask questions about data we hold by emailing support@saferase.co. We will respond as soon as we reasonably can.
